Initiatives & Programs

The Georgia Energy and Industrial Construction Consortium has developed Initiatives and Programs to support you. Through partnerships with educators, workforce systems, community organizations, and industry, we seek to expand career awareness, grow local pathways, and connect learners to real opportunities in energy.

Career Awareness & Community Outreach

GEICC and its members are involved with career awareness activities throughout the state. GEICC financially supports the Georgia Technology Student Association (Georgia TSA) and the State Leadership Conference, career fair and electric vehicle race held each March.

GEICC also celebrates Careers in Energy Week annually with a career awareness fair held at one of the TCSG campuses. GEICC invites students from area high schools to meet professionals from the energy industry and learn about career opportunities available while engaging in interactive, fun, hands on activities.

Careers in Energy Week is held annually the third week in October (2026 celebrations will be October 19 - 23). More information about events and registration will be available on our website.

Education & Training Partnerships

The Georgia Energy and Industrial Construction Consortium (GEICC) partners with K-12 schools, technical colleges, universities, workforce organizations, and industry employers to build sustainable local talent pipelines for Georgia's energy sector. Through career awareness programs, hands-on learning experiences, educator partnerships, scholarships, apprenticeships, and workforce development initiatives, GEICC helps students explore energy careers, earn industry-relevant credentials, and transition into high-demand occupations that support Georgia's growing energy and industrial construction workforce needs.

Workforce Development Programs

Many of the GEICC member organizations have workforce development programs throughout the state, such as co-op or student employment programs, internships or pre-apprenticeships and apprenticeship programs. These opportunities provide students and graduates with the skills needed to be workforce ready. Click the members listed on the About page to learn more about each company's careers and workforce development programs.
